U. S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in the San Diego Field Office took over $14 million worth of narcotics of the streets in March.

CBP officers seized nearly 4,500 pounds of methamphetamine, 1,100 pounds of cocaine, 382 pounds of fentanyl and 37 pounds of heroin during enforcement operations at ports of entry in San Ysidro, Otay Mesa and Calexico. According to CBP officials, all suspects involved in the drug trafficking attempts were arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations for follow-up.
