(Parts of Calexico was in the dark late last week)..The power outage was caused by a vehicle colliding with a power pole.

The collision damaged the pole and left over 800 Calexico residents in the dark. It happened last Thursday. Imperial Irrigation District crews responded to the incident. They worked  feverishly throughout the night. By Friday they had power restored to all of those affected. The District said they appreciated the patience of those affected by the outage, and they thanked their crews for another job well-done.
