Wildland fire training is underway in El Centro.

Multiple fire agencies from Imperial County have been participating in the annual training exercise at Bucklin Park in El Centro. The regional exercise brings together multiple fire departments to strengthen coordination, communication, and operational readiness for the upcoming wildfire season. Participating agencies included El Centro, Brawley, Calexico, Imperial County, Naval Air Facility El Centro, Calipatria and Holtville. The training started Tuesday and will continue Wednesday.
