The Imperial Irrigation District has announced the 2026 Public Green Spaces Grant Program.

Cities, counties, special districts, nonprofits, and community organizations are invited to apply for funding through the program. The IID's Public Green Spaces Grant program is now in its third year. Last year approximately 1,300 trees were planted across the Imperial and Coachella Valleys. The program is part of the district's 2026 Tree for All program and offers over $575, 000 in funding. Individual awards of up to $35,000 are available. Deadline for applications is March 24, 2026, and projects must be completed by November 30, 2026. Applications and information are available on the IID website.
