Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday. At 2:00 a.m. Sunday clocks in the Imperial Valley will spring forward one hour. Often debated and deemed unnecessary, the annual change affects the Imperial Valley but not Yuma. Originally designed to "save daylight, it is now considered an inconvenience. And you will lose one hour of sleep. Many people will move the clocks ahead Saturday night.
