(Imperial Valley College began a new semester)....Spring semester began last Tuesday.

The School welcomed students with a carnival type event. The event was an outreach event designed to introduce students to Student Support Services. Organizers say the goal was to increase awareness, encourage early student engagement, and support recruitment for eligible first-generation, low-income, and STEM students. Staff was on-hand to answer questions, explain program services and guide students through the application procces in a relaxed and inviting environment. There is also now a Welcome Center with a Oromise Program counselo for the first-year experience students ubder the Student Equity and Achievement program
