(High winds close Interstate 8 lanes)...Thge lanes were the Westbound lanes in Alpine, and the Eastbound lanes at Ocotillo.

They were closed to high profile vehicles due to very strong gusty winds. The closures began at around 11:30 pm Thursday night. The lanes reopened to all vehicles at just after 6 Friday morning. No damage has been reported. The California Highway Patrol and Cal Trans were able to react quick enough to avoid any major incidents.
