( A Federal Grant has been awarded to boost college and career readiness for Imperial County Students.

It is a $12.8 million grant. The Imperial County Office of Education, in partnership with 9 elementary school districts and five high school districts has been awarded a multi-year Federal Gear-UP grant from the US Department of Education to launch project R.I.S.E. and ensure students are prepared not only for college, but also for career and life success. Over the next 7 years, the $12.8 million grant will help strengthen college and career readiness for middle and high school students across the Imperial County.
