Since then, rumors are spreading like wildfire. On December 21st Deputies responded to a strange call. A human leg had been found in the area near Salton City. Investigators have not been able to identify the leg. DNA has been sent to a laboratory for analysis. The investigation continues. Investigators have asked anyone knowing of a missing person in the area, to contact the Sheriff's investigators. Despite rumors to the contrary, no other body parts have been found, despite extensive searches in the area.
