(California Office of Traffic Safety awards a grant)....It went to the Imperial Police Department.

The $42,000 grant will be used to support the Departments ongoing enforcement and education programs to help reduce the number of serious injuries and death on the roads. The grant program runs thru September 2026. The funs will go towards Patrols focused on impaired drivers, high visibility distracted driving enforcement operations, enforcement operation focused on the most dangerous driver behaviors. They will also focus on speed violations, failure to yield, stop sign and red light violations and more.
