(Murder suspect in court recently)....56-year-old James Hill made a court appearance.

The appearance was to set a preliminary hearing date. Hill is suspected in the June murder of his then 34-year-old girlfriend. The defendant's new attorney asked the court for more time to study the details of the case. The court agreed and the preliminary hearing was reset to March 12, 2026. Hill had changed attorneys in October. The victim's burnt body had been found outside the trailer she was living in at Senator's Wash.
