(The California Highway Patrol Holiday enforcement).....The CHP is coming off one Maximum Enforcement period.

They are getting ready for another. An MEP is a Holiday enforcement program, in which as many officers as possible are assigned to the roadways. The increased patrols are designed to keep the roadways safe during the holidays by removing dangerous motorists. The Highway Patrol looks for suspected speeders, Impaired Drivers, seatbelt violations and more. The next Maximum Enforcement Period begins December 31st at 6:01 pm and continues through 11:59 pm January 1.
