Firefighters and equipment from all over the Imperial Valley fought an early Christmas morning fire in Calexico.

The fire devastated the Denny's Restaurant at Cole Road and State Route 111. Electricity was shut off for an area near the restaurant as a safety precaution. Personnel and equipment remained on the scene into the afternoon. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
