(Imperial Irrigation District names a new Chairperson)....The action was taken at the IID Board meeting Monday.

During the reorganization, the Directors chose the Division 5 Director as their new leader in 2026. Director Karen Eugenio will serve as Board Chairwoman for the coming year. She becomes the 4th woman to serve as  Board Chair in Imperial Irrigation District history. She succeeds the 3rd Chairwoman Gina Dockstader. Eugenio's first meeting as Chair will be January 6th. Eugenio was first elected to the IID Board in June 2022. She currently serves as Director for Division 5, which includes areas of Imperial, Holtville, parts of Calexico and Eastern Imperial County.
