(Calipatria City Council schedules a special meeting)...It will be held Tuesday December 16th.

The special meeting is to reorganize the council. It will begin at 6 pm in the Council Chambers at 125 North Park Avenue. They will take nominations for the new Mayor. Current Mayor Michael Luellan will call for the vote. He will turn the gavel over to whomever is chosen as the new Mayor. The council will then take nominations for a Mayor Pro-Tem, before another vote is taken. The new Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem will serve in the upcoming new year. There will be one more regular meeting of the City Council. That will be on December 23rd.
