(*El Centro Police Department has closed their current headquarters)....Staff has begun moving into the new Police Headquarters on Main Street.

Police access will reopen at 8 Wednesday morning, at the new Headquarters at 1150 Main Street. Administrative phone lines and land lines are unavailable during the transition. Emergency services, however, are not being affected, and 911 remains fully operational. The non-emergency line at 760-352-2111 will continue to be available as well. Visitors should use the Main Street entrance when the new building opens Wednesday morning. Construction activity will continue for several months, and the project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026
