The City of Imperial used social media to inform residents of the planned facility. The City said it was not their project and will not be located within the City Limits of Imperial. The Imperial Irrigation District also announced they were aware of the proposed Data Center. They said they needed to know more about the facility, since they would be providing water and power. What is known is that the project is going through the permit process. Several preliminary permits have been approved. The actual construction permit has not been approved. The plans call for a 950,000 square foot Data Center. There are some residents concerned that the County has not announced any information on the proposed project.
