El Centro Police officers used a drone to locate the suspect in a theft.

Police responded to the Von's Grocery Store in El Centro after receiving a report of a theft. Officers located the suspect, who immediately ran. Officers temporarily lost sight of the suspect and activated the ECPD Drone Team for assistance. Officers on the ground, with aerial support from the drone, located the suspect hiding behind a large bush. The suspect again tried to run but was taken into custody following a foot pursuit. The suspect was booked into Imperial County Jail on multiple charges.
