(Small vehicle collides with a semi)....It was reported at 9:25 Friday morning.

The California Highway Patrol says the incident occurred on Interstate 8 near Winterhaven Drive off ramp.  occupant of the Toyota Priius suffered major injurie and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The cause of the collision is under investigation. Land #2 of the Interstate was blocked until the vehicles could be cleared.
