(The City of El Centro announces the third year of engravings)....They are for the First Responders Wall, a tribute located at First Responders Park on North Waterman Avenue.
The Wall honors the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to keeping communities safe. Each honoree will be commemorated with a 13-inch by 5-inch engraved granite plaque, permanently installed on the wall. Eligible honorees include peace offiers, firefighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and public safety dispatchers who have served in Imperial County and meet the established criteria. Applications must be submitted in person to the City of El Centro Economic Development Division, on West Main Street, no later than September 12. The cost is $350 per plaque.
