The Imperial County Board of Supervisors met last week.

Taking action on several Consent Agenda items, the board approved a Professional Services Agreement with the Humane Society of imperial County. The one-year agreement is for the Humane Society to provide professionally trained dogs for the Behavioral Health Services Prevention and Early Intervention Program. The program will enhance outreach and therapy efforts , offering emotional support and promoting mental well-being in the Valley. 

The board also approved an agreement with Womanhaven for the Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention Program Round 4 Keys to Independence Project. The project provides housing stability and supportive services or individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
