The recent California Highway Patrol Academy graduates are from the Imperial Valley.
The three were among the 130 graduates that were sworn in Friday in Sacramento. Brianna Coronado is from El Centro and a 2024 graduate of Central Union Adult High School. Officer Coronado will begin her duties at the CHP Yreka Area Office.
Raul Gutierrez, Jr. graduated from Calexico High School in 2026. He has a master's degree in Public Administration from San Diego State. His first duty station will be the CHP's Humboldt Area office.
Nathan Torrez graduated from Brawley Union High School in 2020. Officer Torrez has a bachelor's degree from San Diego State University. He has been assigned to the San Andreas Area office.
