A juvenile is in custody following a short car chase Sunday night.

According to El Centro Police, patrol officers located a stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Euclid Avenue. When officers attempted a high-risk felony stop, the driver sped off. At the intersection of Imperial Avenue and Euclid, the driver lost control and crashed into a pole and a parked car. The driver ran from the scene and El Centro Police and Imperial Police and Imperial County Sheriff's deputies established a perimeter in the area. The El Centro police Drone Team was deployed to assist in the search. The drone pilot was able to locate the suspect hiding under a staircase of a nearby apartment complex. The suspect driver, a juvenile, was booked into Imperial County Juvenile Hall on a variety of charges including, Possession od a Stolen Vehicle, Felony Evading, and Hit and Run.
