(13th Annual Senior Appreciation Day)…It is hosted by the Area Agency on Aging.
The special event will be held Wednesday January 31st, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the Imperial Valley Expo Casa de Manana Building. This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland and attendance is free to all seniors. There will be food, entertainment, live music, activities and more. The Volunteer of the Year will also be announced. It is expected over 600 seniors and caregivers will attend this year’s event. The special day was designed to inform seniors, caregivers and their families of the services and resources available. The Area Agency on Aging provides congregate meals, home delivered meals, in-home respite care, information and assistance, ombudsman program, volunteers, outreach classes, senior health clinics and legal assistance.
