The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for the Imperial Valley.

Temperatures from Sunday through Wednesday are forecast to reach near 115 degrees before a slight cooling trend will start Thursday and run into the Independence Day weekend. Expect hot and dry conditions to persist with a slight increase in moisture but NWS is not predicting precipitation in the Imperial Valley. Overnight lows should hover between the upper 70's to low 80's. Winds will be in the 5 - 10 mph range.
