(County Board of Supervisors approve the CVC Act Model)....The action was taken at the Board's meeting this week.
Linsey Dale, Registrar of Voters says it was established in 2016. The California Voter's Choice Act modrrnizes elections by giving voters more flexibility and convenience. Dale says under this model, voters choose how, when and where to cast their ballots through; Mailing every registered voter a ballot, expanding in-person early voting, allowing voters to cast a ballot at any vote center within their county, and provide secure ballot drop boxes throughout the county. She says the county has decided to begin the process of adopting the CVA election model in time for the June 2026 Primary Election. There will be a series of community meetings and workshops between June and September. It is hoped the final plan will be ready in September to be submitted to the California Secretary of State for approval
