The El Centro City Council will meet Monday.

The Special Meeting will have a two-fold purpose, to swear in newly appointed Councilmember Michael Crankshaw and to reorganize with the selection of a mayor to serve out the term of former mayor Tomas Oliva. Oliva's resignation created the opening for Crankshaws' appointment and the necessity of choosing a new Mayor. The meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
