Along the Southwest border, more than 960 illegal aliens have been charged with immigration-related crimes as part of Operation Take back America.

According to the Justice Department, last week, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of California, that comprises San Diego and Imperial Counties, filed 90 border-related cases, including charges of transportation of illegal aliens, reentering the U.S. after deportation, deported alien found in the United States, and transportation of a controlled substance. The Justice Department says that Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department's Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces and Project Safe Neighborhood.
