(A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Automation)....It is closer to becoming a reality.

Imperial Valley College has received conditional approval from the California Community College's Chancellor's Office to offeer a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Automation. If fully approved, it would mark the first time in Imperial Valley Colleges history that a bachelor's degree program would be available to local students. IVC Superintendent/President Lennor Johnson said this milestone marks a defining moment for his institution and our community as they take a step closer to transforming the economic and educational landscape of Imperial County. The program must still receive final approval from the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges. Once granted, IVC will be fully authorized to launch the program, bringing new opportunities for students to pursue high-wage careers without leaving the region.
