U. S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents found liquid methamphetamine concealed in a gas tank.
CBP officers referred an older SUV to secondary inspection where bon-intrusive technology scanned the vehicle and saw irregularities in the gas tank. A CBP K-9 team was brought in and the dog alerted to the presence of narcotics. A total of nearly 255 pounds of gasoline was extracted from the SUV and tests revealed the presence of meth. The driver, a 52-year-old woman, and a passenger, a 46-year-old man, were detained and turned over to investigators from Homeland Security Investigations.
