Two men have been arrested on various weapons charges.

On Friday, at about 11:00 p.m., Imperial County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call for service in Winterhaven when an individual reported that he was attacked by someone with a gun. While talking to the victim, deputies heard gunfire approximately 100 yards away from them. Deputies responded to the gunfire and surrounded the house where the shots were coming from. After several hours of negotiations, and with the assistance of the ICSO Special Response Team, a search warrant was served on the house. Inside, deputies located two men hiding in the attic . The suspects were armed with a loaded AK-47, a loaded sawed-off shotgun and a loaded handgun. The suspects were arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail on a variety of weapons charges.
