(Calexico Fire Station #2 is almost ready to open)....A special meeting was held by the Calexico City Council this week.

The Fire Station was a main topic at the meeting Tuesday.. During the meeting the Council discussed final renovations for the station. They were told almost $25,000 was needed for the final renovations. The Council decided to use from the American Rescue Plan Act. The funds will be used to purchase two washing extractors, a dryer and equipment lockers. The City council was told the station was set to open by the end of October, which would be next week. The notice of completion will be presented to the council at their November 6th City Council meeting.
