(Vehicle fire on Interstate 8)...It happened on westbound I-8 at the Gordon's Well off ramp.

It was reported at close to 8 Wednesday morning. The rig was on the right hand shoulder. The front trailer and the cab were on fire. County fire was called to extinguish the fire. The California Highway Patrol initiated traffic control on the number 2 lane of I-8. Very few details have been released. No information on possible injuries. The incident is being investigated by the Highway Patrol.
