(Hispanic Heritage Month is winding down).....SDICCCA celebrated the month with several events.

San Diego and Imperial Counties Community College Association hosted a variety of events. Imperial Valley College celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month with a couple of engaging events that honored the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic communities. The IVC Associated Students Government hosted a lively celebration on September 27 featuring Lucha Libre, music, food and an interactive educational space where attendees learned about the Chicano Studies program. On October 11th, IVC partnered with Pioneer's Museum to host a Chicano Studies Film Festival, screening the movie Coco, alongside family friendly activities and a discussion on the film's cultural significance. The events fostered community engagement, cultural pride and a deeper understanding of Hispanic Heritage.
