Friday Night Lights are back on.

The 2024 High School Football season got under way this week. The first varsity game games involved the Girls Imperial Valley Classic Flag Football Tournament. Teams from the Imperial and Coachella Valleys competed at sites on local campuses Monday through Wednesday. The Boys Varsity football season kicks-off Thursday night in Holtville when the Vikings host the Southwest Eagles. The game will be broadcast live on KXO AM1230, on our website www.kxoradio.com and on our YouTube channel. Play continues Friday with Vincent Memorial Catholic High School hosting Monte Vista, Brawley will entertain Palm Springs High School. Hitting the road are the Calipatria Hornets as they journey to Desert Christian Academy, Calexico's Bulldogs head up Highway 78 to play Palo Verde Valley and the Central Spartans take a trip to the Los Angeles area for a game against Jarupa Hills. The Imperial Tigers meet West Hills at Simpson-Shigamoto Field. Mickey Dale and George Grijalva will bring the action live to KXO AM1230, the website www.kxoradio.com and the KXO You Tube channel.
