An early morning accident resulted in a portion of State Route 111 at the Brawley Bypass being shut down.

The accident was reported at about 12:38 a.m. Wednesday when a big rig slammed into the guardrail and some barriers at the off-ramp. No one was injured in the accident but the westbound State Route 78 to Old Highway 111 exit was closed for a hazmat team to clean up spilled fuel and fluids.
