The City of Brawley released more information on the Monday night fire.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m., the Brawley Fire Department responded to reports of a fire in a building at 395 West E Street. On arrival, firefighters confirmed that a significant fire was in progress and immediately issued a third alarm requesting mutual aid from other fire departments. Responding with the Brawley Fire Department was Brawley Police, Public Works, Imperial County Sheriff's Office, Imperial County Fire, El Centro, Calipatria, Westmorland and Holtvile Fire Departments and AMR Ambulance Service. The American Red Cross provided canteen services for the first responders. The fire was contained to the interior of the building. Cause of the blaze remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries.
