(El Centro Fire Department received the call at 5 Friday morning)...Witnesses had spotted smoke coming from the Sombrero Restaurant at the IV Mall.

The fire crew made entry and found the fire had already started to spread. The fire had gotten into the walls, making it difficult to stop. The fire fighters were able to knock down the fire. Because of the early morning hour, the Restaurant was empty. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation
