(The Border City has a new Mayor)....Mayor Gloria Romo was ousted this week.

The new Mayor is now Camilo Garcia. The City Council had by-passed Garcia to name Romo as the Mayor. Since then the backers of that move have been removed from the council. Raul Urena and Gilberto Manzanarez were recalled from the Council. It is not known if Garcia will serve a full year as Mayor. There are reports all five Calexico City Council seats will be on the November Ballot.
