(Mobile Units operational for Workforce Development and OES)....Two new mobile units launched.
They are aimed at enhancing accessibility to vital services for residents across the region. Priscilla Lopez, Director for the Imperial County Workforce Economic and Development said her office identified a need to create better access points to the services that they provide to outlying areas in the County. They found support in investing in a mobile unit. The unit will serve as a beacon of opportunity, delivering essential job seeker and business services directly to underserved communities. The Office of Emergency Services Mobile Unit embodies resilience and community support. The Unit will support the communities prepare for the needed autonomous field/office space that did not depend on the need for fuel or heavy support. The County says both Units represent a proactive approach to addressing community needs and fostering resilience in the face of challenges.
