Congressman Raul Ruiz announced the funds. The Calexico Intermodel Transportation Center will receive an additional $4.1 million, bringing the total funds committed to the project to $16.9 million. $3 million was allocated to Imperial County Bridge repairs. $3 million is being assigned to the City of Imperial for their Imperial Corridor Safety Improvement Project. Over $871, 000 is going to the Imperial Irrigation District for the Ninth Street Pipeline Project. $850,000 is going to the El Centro Imperial Avenue extension project.
