If you are heading from San Diego to the Imperial Valley expect delays on Interstate 8 near Alpine.

Caltrans says, a small section of the eastbound lanes will be closed from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. through the end of January. Eastbound travelers will be detoured at the Tavern Road off-ramp and then back on to the Tavern Road on-ramp to Interstate 8. Roadway maintenance will be performed during the closure.
