(It is back to work at Spreckels Sugar)....The strike lasted almost a week.

Last Thursday the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 135 accused Spreckels of Unfair Labor Practices. Picket lines were set up at the Plant on Highway 86 and Keystone Road and at the Warehouse on Aten Road. Spreckels filed an emergency potion to end the labor action. The Judge ruled against ending the strike. As a result of the action a mediator. Through mediation, the Union declared the Unfair Labor Practice Strike was over.. A resolution was reportedly reached late Tuesday afternoon. A Press Release sent out did not detail  was behind the resolution. It just said the strike was over.
